James Louis "Jimmy" Norris, age 40 of Holy Cross, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.  He was born August 23, 1981, in Marion County.  He was a factory worker and farmer.  He liked hunting, horseback riding, cooking and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Hutchins and Lee and Estelle Norris; his stepmother, Mary Lynnette Norris; one sister, LaToya Catherine Norris; one uncle, Larry Norris and one aunt, Ann Norris.

Survivors include his mother, Cathy Hutchins Willett (R.D.) of New Hope; his father, Louis Norris of Holy Cross; two sisters, Tina Boblitt (Travis) of Springfield and Janice Chesser (Rusty) of Lebanon; one brother, Jordan Norris (Jocelyn) of Holy Cross; one stepsister, Whitney Jennette of Mount Washington; two stepbrothers, Travis Jennette of Mount Washington and Carlos Willett of Balltown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto.  Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The services will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home facebook page.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Danny Joe Hutchins, Rusty Chesser, Kenneth Lee Norris II, Cayden Chesser, Blake Blanford and Landon Chesser.  Honorary pallbearers are Trevor Boblitt, Andrinna Boblitt, Dalton Smith, Lucas Benham, Briar Chesser, Carter Norris, Ashton Chesser, Peyton Chesser, Aiden Chesser, Jaxon Chesser and Ethan Willett.
