Obituary
Joseph L. "Jodie" Robey, age 76 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at U of L Hospital.
He was born February 15, 1937 and formerly of Marion County. He was a retired employee of Conco and Transamerica, a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, American Legion Post 61 (Son) and he was a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Albert "Tuck" Robey and Mary Margaret Downs Robey, his first wife, Carol Ann Riggs Robey, two sisters, Barbara Nalley and Dorothy Henon, three brothers, Robert A. "Bobbo" Robey, Joseph Albert "June Bug" Robey, Jr., and Roger Robey.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Frances Bartley Robey, four sons, Steven Robey (Rhonda), Scott Bartley (Kecia) , Joseph L. Robey, Jr. (Dana)and Michael Leon Robey, one daughter, Mary "Ginger" Blakeney , 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Lois Ann McGuire (Bobbie), Cindy Jones (Keith), Margaret Lynn Henon and Mildren Ray, three brothers, Pat Robey (Bonnie) , Chris Robey and Mike Robey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, November 15, 2013 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle and Rev. Johnny Johnson will concelebrate.
Visitations will be 3-8 PM Wednesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY with a prayer service at 6 PM Wednesday. Visitations will be 11 AM till 9 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, KY with a prayer service at 6 PM Thursday.
