Joseph Albert "Joe" Johnston, Jr., age 60 of Loretto, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

He was born March 23, 1958 in Marion County to the late Joseph Albert and Margie Willett Johnston. He was a Woodworker, a Farmer, an avid fisherman and UK fan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Johnston.

Survivors include one son, Daniel Johnston (Sarah Ford) of Loretto; one daughter, Cecelia Johnston (Matthew Brady) of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Alexander Ford, Madison Ford, Timothy Ford, Kayden Corbett, Chloe Johnston and Brantley Greer; three sisters, Alice Marie Johnston of Louisville, Patty Hamilton (Norbert) of Loretto and Amy Thomas (Joe) of Mount Washington; four brothers, Eddie Johnston (Martha) of Louisville, Mike Johnston (Betty) of Bardstown, David Johnston (Patricia) of Mount Washington and John Johnston (Dawn) of Fisherville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon. Rev. David W. Naylor will preside. Cremation will follow the Mass.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
