John "Nicky" Allen, age 70 of Raywick, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at his home, with his family by his side.  He was born September 15, 1953 in Marion County.  He was a Farmer and a retired employee of General Electric with 35 years of service.  He was a Baptist by Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Coolidge "Cooch" and Eva Etta Skaggs Allen; three siblings, Patricia Knopp, Gary Allen, and Don Paul Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Loretta Wright Allen; three children, Johnny Allen (Tia) of Eubank, Kathy Smith (Joey) of Springfield, and Alysa Wright of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Matthew, Lincoln, Amiyah, Collin, and Chloe; one sister, Judy Huber of Mount Washington; one sister-in-law, Roberta Hafley; one brother-in-law, William Dempsey Wright.

Funeral Services for John "Nicky" Allen will be held at 11 am Friday, September 6, 2024 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Bro. Josh Simpson will officiate.  Interment will follow in Mount Washington Baptist Church Cemetery.

The visitation is 3-8 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Matthew Lee, Lincoln Smith, Josh Raley, Jeremy Sullivan, David Huber, Brian Gaddie, Zachary Dooley, and Bailey Bishop; Honorary Pallbearers are Craig Bishop, Nick Dooley, Alex Huffman, Austin Smith, Scotty Smith, Estil Gaddie, Earl Lee, Michael Allen, and Todd Allen.
