John Dant "Bubbles" Thomas, age 74 of Loretto, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville.  He was born October 17, 1950 in Marion County.  He worked as a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by two children, John Michael Thomas and Chasity Annette Shelton; his parents, Felix and Irma Dant Thomas; three siblings, Stephen Lyle "Steve" Thomas, Phillis Ann Thomas and Richard "Dick" Thomas, Sr.

Survivors include one son, Sammy Thomas of Owensboro; one stepson, Jeff Fleming of Owensboro; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Pam Medley (Danny) of Loretto and Ann Marie Ballard (Greg) of Holy Cross; three brothers, Keith Thomas of Shepherdsville, Bernie Thomas of Taylorsville, and Phillip Thomas (Amanda) of Atlanta, Georgia.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.  A private inurnment will take place in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick at a later date.  Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
