Obituary

John Lee "Johnny Coleman" Mattingly, age 62 of Raywick, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Bardstown Health and Rehab.

He was born September 22, 1954 in Marion County. He was a retired employee of Independent Stave Company in Lebanon and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era.

He was preceded in death by his son Allan; his parents, Coleman And Gertrude Mattingly; his second wife, Robyn Lampkin; one sister, Mary Agnes Helm; one brother-in-law, John Blandford.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Ditto Mattingly; one step-son, Jeremy Masden of New Haven; five sisters, Joyce Ann Medley (Billy) of Elizabethtown, Patsy Lyon (Bobby) of Loretto, Judy Blandford and Martha Hardesty (Dennis) all of Bardstown and Carol Kincer (Gary) of London; two brothers, Billy Coleman Mattingly (Shirley) of Louisville and Pat Mattingly of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; his dog Maggie.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside. Committal services will follow in Saint Charles Cemetery where Military Rites will be performed by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 10 AM – 12:30 PM Saturday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
