Jondal Tony "Jon" Burden, Jr., 50, of Saint Francis, KY, formerly of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.
Born September 18, 1960 in Morgantown, KY, Mr. Burden was a Boilermaker and a member for Boilermakers Local 40.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jondal Tony Burden, Sr. and his step-father, Thomas Barnes.
Survivors include his Mother, Patricia Higdon Barnes of Saint Francis, a daughter, Amy Burden of Louisville, a son, Jondal Burden, III of Louisville, three grandchildren, Jondal Burden IV, Madison Benfield and William Anthony Harris, a Sister, Sheila Burke of Raeford, NC.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Saint Francis with interment in Saint Catherine Cemetery in New Haven. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant. Visitation is 4-8 PM Friday at J. B. Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home , 2114 West Market Street, Louisville, and 8 AM till 9:30 AM Saturday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Boilermaker Rites will be at 7 PM Friday followed by the rosary.
