Joseph Herbert Hagan, age 94 of Lebanon, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence.
He was born January 2, 1919 in Marion County. He formerly worked as a carpenter in bridge construction. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific theatre.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Hagan, two children, David and Patricia Hagan, his parents, William Felix and Blanche Reed Hagan and two sisters, Mary Rosaline Hagan and Mary Pauline Hagan.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Garrett of Milltown, IN and Juanite Tiwanak of Aiela, Hawaii, one son, Ronald Hagan of Jacksonville, FL, one step-daughter, Rebecca Leonard of Crittenden, KY, two step-sons, Thomas Rector of Lebanon and Ralph Rector of Union City, Michigan, 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1 PM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with Bro. Ed Amundson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 10 am till time of service on Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
