Joseph E. "Nickie" Leake, Jr., age 68 of Raywick, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 suddenly and peacefully in his home.

Nickie was a truck driver who retired after 30 years. During this time he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and he served our country through the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jean Giles; his father Joseph E. Leake, Sr.; one son, Jeremy "Chick" Leake; one daughter, Shawna Leake; his ex-wife and longtime friend Deborah Harp Leake.

He is survived by one son, Joshua Joseph Leake (Dana Westmoreland); one sister, Vickie Jo Leake; three grandchildren, Cody Leake, Savanah Leake and Logan Leake.

He was a true definition of a man and father. He enjoyed life through his many friendships and lived life to the fullest. Nickie's appreciation and fun-loving zest for life will be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.

Visitation is 3-7 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
