Joyce Ann Faulkner Morris, 81, of Bardstown, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at her home, with her family by her side.  She was born October 28, 1943 in Nelson County to the late James Leonard and Marguerite Caple Faulkner.  She was a member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John (2020).  Their marriage was a true partnership of love and dedication to family.  Together they raised three children: Michael of Indianapolis, IN, Ann Douglas (Greg) of Bardstown and Rita Grayson (Glenn) of Oregonia, OH.  Besides her children, Joyce is survived by eight grandchildren who she adored, Emily Morris (Danny Smith), Alex Morris, Kerry Douglas (Miranda), Justin Douglas (Brandi), Sara Hart (Lucas), and Andrea, Connor (Alex), and Kalee Grayson; nine great grandchildren, Aiden, Adelynn, Annabelle, Aubree, Crew, Myles, Teddy, Bentley, and Carter and one on the way; four brothers, Paul Faulkner of Louisville, Gerald Faulkner (Billie) of Louisville, Harold Faulkner (Wilma) of Loretto, and Charles Faulkner of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Helen Bodenbender of New Albany, IN, Brenda Conley (Larry) of Georgetown, IN, Doretha Corbett (Mike) of New Braunfels, TX, and Doris Jabaley (John) of Sevierville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Joyce is preceded in death by one grandson, Evan Ross Douglas and three brothers, John Faulkner, J.L. Faulkner, Jr., and infant Joseph Faulkner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, 870 Saint Thomas Lane, Bardstown.  Rev. Brandon T. DeToma will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Tuesday and 8 am – 10:15 am Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm Tuesday by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
