Mary Alice "Judy" Miles, age 66 of Saint Francis, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her residence.

She was born February 28, 1951 in Marion County. She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Miles, Sr. (2013); her parents, Alphonus Liguori "Gora" Downs, Sr. and Catherine Josephine Alvey Downs; three sisters, Gladys Louise Downs, Evelyn Weidemann and Geneva Clark; one brother, A.L. "Biggie" Downs.

Survivors include one son, Charles Leon Miles, Jr. of Saint Francis; three granddaughters, Emma Miles, Rebecca Raley and Hannah Raley; Ricky Alvey of whom she was guardian; two sisters, Emma Jean Hardin (Lee) of Taylorsville and Brenda Raley (Joe) of Saint Francis; one brother, Carl Downs (Debbie Robey) of Saint Francis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will preside.

Visitation is 4-9 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
