Keith Wimpsett, age 62 of Life Care Center in Bardstown, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 6, 1954 in Bardstown. He was a retired farmer and former construction worker, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Everett and Virginia Ann Ballard Wimpsett; one son, Jason Wimpsett; one brother, David Wimpsett.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Elder Wimpsett of Saint Francis; one daughter, Stacy Lohman (Mike) of Louisville; four granddaughters, Anna Lohman and Sophia Lohman both of Louisville, Kayla Wimpsett and Brittany Wimpsett both of Springfield; two sisters, Michelle Osborne (Dennis) and Sheila Downs (Wayne) all of Bardstown; six brothers, Larry Wimpsett (Judy) and Jeff Wimpsett (Tammy) all of Bardstown, Tony Wimpsett (Kelly) and Pat Wimpsett all of Louisville, Danny Wimpsett (Tammy) of Bloomfield and Mark Wimpsett (Jackie) of New Haven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. The Rev. Bryan Lamberson will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
