Joseph "Kenneth" Hutchins, age 76 of Holy Cross, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence.

He was born March 4, 1937 at Holy Cross. He was a farmer and former employee of Ford Motor Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gonza and Augustine Nalley Hutchins, two sisters, Clara Jean Bevins and Mary Elizabeth Sims, six brothers, Ishmael, Zack and Bill Mattingly and Elmer, Hubert and Charles Hutchins and one great-great grandson, Levi Hutchins.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Naegele Hutchins, seven daughters, Cathy Willett (R.D.) of New Hope, Tina Hutchins of Boston, Carolyn Reid (Eddie) of Manton, Theresa Hutchins Shuler of Louisville, Kim Brady (Ronnie Coulter) and Sandra Lynn Taylor (Louis) all of Holy Cross, Bonnie Jo Winsor (Ray Butler) of Bee Springs, KY, one sister, Leora Bickett of Raywick, one brother, Tommy Hutchins of Springfield, 32 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 N. St. Francis Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 11 AM till 9 PM Thursday and 11 AM till 9 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM Friday with Rev. Ben Brown.

His daughters and brother will serve as pallbearers.
