Larry Spalding Reynolds

Larry Spalding Reynolds, age 71 of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 12:23 pm at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Riverview, Florida. He was born on August 24, 1954 to the late James Monroe Reynolds and Eunice Spalding Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Clara Jeanne.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Carol Reynolds and five children, Kelly Gootee (Phillip), Steven Reynolds, Tabitha Reynolds, Chad Abell, and Leslie Abell Phillips (Korey). Also Surviving are four siblings, Mike Reynolds (Lois), Connie Osborne, Tammy Downs, and Tracey Rinehart (Greg), along with three grandsons, Cambron Gootee, T J Abell and Case Reynolds, six granddaughters, Chloe Gootee, Jaicee Reynolds, Arielle Abell, Kenslee Reynolds, Aubree Reynolds, and Kaydrine Phillips and one great grandson, Huxley Moss.

He was the owner and operator of Reynolds Tractor Repair for the last 40 years. His life revolved around his faith first. He was humble, patient, loving, kind, generous and hard working. He was a devoted husband, father, granddad, and great granddad. Larry’s passion was helping the farmers in the community, and he never considered it a job because he was doing what he loved. He enjoyed farming with his son and loved joking and playing with his grandkids.

Funeral Services for Larry Spalding Reynolds will be held at 11 am Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Rev. David Fralix will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Wednesday and 9-11 am Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Steven Reynolds, Phillip Gootee, Chad Abell, Cambron Gootee, Billy Mattingly, and Lester Hayden.
