Lisa Ann Masterson Whitener, age 53 of Mt. Washington, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 with her loving husband by her side. She was born December 26, 1969 in Lebanon, graduated from Marion County High School in 1987 and worked for the last eight years at Balfour in Louisville. She was a Catholic by faith. She enjoyed her yearly trips to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, reading Debbie Macomber and Nicholas Sparks novels, all things Christmas and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Donald Masterson, her grandparents, Tyler and Emma Morris, Nolan and Ruth Masterson, and Marvin and Dorothy Medley, and two cousins, Jason Morris and Evan Douglas.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Michael "Mike" Whitener, her parents, Betty and Jim Medley of Springfield; her sister, Donna Burba (Alan) of Bardstown; three brothers, Jerry and Ken Medley (Debi) of Mt. Washington and Craig Medley (Kathy) of Springfield; her mother-in-law, Barbara Whitener; her nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lisa Ann Whitener will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, January 23, 2023 at Saint Rose Priory Church, 868 Loretto Road, Springfield. Rev. Edmund Ditton O.P. will officiate. The funeral will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.

Pallbearers are cousins, Kevin, Jimmy, Greg, John Paul and John Louis Morris and Chris Boone. Her remaining cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
