Obituary
John Lionel "Lonnie" Mattingly, age 63, formerly of Louisville and Boston, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Life Care Center of Bardstown.
He was born May 25, 1949 in Marion County. Lonnie worked in construction and was a Catholic by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Spalding Mattingly and Frances Hallene Blair Mattingly.
Survivors include one son, Jeremy Mattingly (Aaryka) of North Carolina, one daughter, Melissa Dreyer (Keith) of Wilton, Minnesota, four grandchildren, five sisters, Jenny Thomas , Sue Ann Thompson (Kenny) and Brenda Haas (Mike) all of Louisville, Angela Marshall (Troy) of Nashville, TN, Theresa Kocis (Pete) of Evansville, IN, three brothers, John A. Mattingly (Diane) and Mark Mattingly (Tammie) all of Louisville, Jerry Mattingly (Dee Dee) of Irvington, KY, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
His funeral will be 1 pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, followed by interment in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will officiate.
Visiting 11 am till time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
