Obituary

Louis Earl Bickett, age 76 of Raywick, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.  He was born October 12, 1946 in Raywick.  He was a retired employee of GE Appliance Park with more than 30 years of service.  He formerly operated the old Bickett's Bar in Raywick.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. "Squire" and Mary Coletta Kirkpatrick Bickett; one sister, Patricia Gaddie.

Survivors include two sons, Brad Bickett (Tina) and Byron Bickett (Nikki) all of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Cash, Sierra, Lakin and Shay; seven siblings, Joe Keith Bickett of Raywick, Marceline Cecil (Joe Eddie) of Saint Francis, Kathleen Cecil (Danny), Beverly Fields (Ricky), Charlie Bickett, Jimmy Bickett and Robbie Bickett (Melissa) all of Raywick.

Cremation was chosen.  A memorial visitation will be held 3-7 pm Monday, June 5, 2023 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Committal Rites will be 10 am Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorials may go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
