James Maurice "Marcy" Thomas III, age 51 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
He was born September 27, 1961 in Marion County. He was employed with Jack Cooper Transportation in Louisville and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 89. He formerly worked as an independent realtor and a truck driver with Thomas Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Maurice "Jimmy" Thomas, Jr., one sister, Robin Thomas and one infant brother, Anthony Thomas.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Downs Thomas of Raywick, four daughters, Robyn Thomas, Francy Nally (Derek)and Katie Thomas all of Bardstown, Ashley Auberry of Campbellsville, one son, Thomas James Thomas of Bardstown, five grandchildren, Bryce, Emery, Tanner, Ella and Christopher, one brother, Stuart Thomas (Lori) of Cox's Creek and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, April 15, 2013 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside.
