Obituary
Margaret C. Drury, age 85 of Loretto, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx.
She was born September 28, 1929 in Loretto. She was a retired employee of the Loretto Motherhouse and a co-member of the Sisters of Loretto. She volunteered by sewing more than 200 bibs for the retired Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Henry Drury; her parents, Robert and Janie Miles Powell; one son, Ronnie Drury; step-father, Joseph Adrian Mattingly; three brothers, Lawrence Andrew Nalley, J. C. Nalley and J. A. Mattingly; one sister, Louise Hundley.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Morris (Sonny) of New Hope; two sons, Bill Drury (Patrice) of Louisville and Tim Drury (Linda) of Manton; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Drury (William B.) of Louisville and Sissy Barlow of Lebanon; two brothers, Herbert Mattingly (Rilda) of Elizabethtown and Johnny Mattingly (Pat) of Liberty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Monday, February 23, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 6964 Cissellville Road, Manton, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Hardesty will officiate.
Visitation is 4-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
Pallbearers are Tony Drury, Bob Morris, Donnie Drury, Scott Wohlgamuth, Jimmy Drury and Tony Hornback.
