Marion Newton's Obituary
Charles Marion Newton, age 55 of Bardstown, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was born August 13, 1961 in Nelson County. He was a former construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Paschal Newton, Sr. and Margaret W. Weathers Newton; two sisters, Gloria Clark and Mary W. Greenwell; one brother, Ronald Newton.
Survivors include one daughter, Renee Johnson of Bardstown; two sons, C.J. Johnson of Bardstown and Andy Johnson of New Haven; one granddaughter, Kara Johnson; two sisters, Katie Ball (Evan) of Cox's Creek and Tammy Jackson of New Haven; two brothers, James P. Newton of Nelson County and Stephen Newton (Ann) of Holy Cross.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto. Cremation will follow. The Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 PM.
Memorials may go toward funeral expenses.
