Martha Frances Bartley Wilmouth, age 78 of Bardstown, passed away May 3, 2025 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 15, 1946 in Nelson County.  She formerly worked on My Old Kentucky Home Dinner Train with more than 20 years of employment.  She was a member of Saint Joseph Parish.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Ann Palmer and infant Margaret Rose Wilmouth; Her parents, Leslie and Bessie Gafney Bartley; five brothers, Charles, Billy, Tommy, Junior, and Bobby Bartley.

Her husband of 60 years, James Neil Wilmouth, died May 6, 2025; She is survived by three children, Alan Wilmouth, Angie Campbell (Daniel), and Sheila Nalley (Craig) all of Bardstown; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; four siblings, Edith Riggs of Louisville, Ann Garner of Bardstown, James Keith Bartley (Pat) of New Hope, and Pat Bartley (Shirley) of New Hope.

A Mass of Christian Burial for James Neil and Martha Bartley Wilmouth will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, 310 W. Stephen Foster Avenue, Bardstown.  Fr. Jacob Zulu will officiate.  Interment will follow in Saint Gregory Cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.

Pallbearers are Daniel Campbell, Nathaniel Wilmouth Campbell, Joshua Morgan, Dakota Morgan, Alan Wilmouth, and Christopher Kelty.
