Martha Lenora Hamilton, age 84, of Life Care Center of Bardstown, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1928 in Manton and formerly resided in Loretto.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Irvin and Thelma Laura Blanford, her husband Paul Virgil Hamilton, one daughter, Mary Jane Hamilton, two sons, Joseph Steven and David Wayne Hamilton and three brothers, Derlin, Blandford and Vannie Newton.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Hamilton (Bonnie) of Springfield, Eddie Hamilton (Rose) of Bardstown, two daughters, Connie Fenwick (John P.) of Lebanon, Paula Bartley (Tommy) of Bardstown, 18 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and two brothers, Johnnie Newton (Janice) of Louisville and Bobby Newton of Manton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, Springfield, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Mark Hamilton will be the celebrant.
Friends may call 3-8 PM Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Prayers services will be at 7 PM Monday by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
