Mary Martha Hutchins, age 92 of New Hope, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 29, 1926 in New Hope. She was a former employee of Jim Beam Brands distillery and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed caring for her flower gardens and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harold Hutchins; her second husband, Howard Clark; one son, Eddie Hutchins; her parents, Thomas Thurman and Annie Margaret Nalley Mattingly; three sisters, Alice Priddy, Lila Clark and Margaret Morris; three brothers, John Willett Mattingly, Joseph "Ade" Mattingly and Bob Mattingly.

Survivors include three daughters, Jane Tinnell, Shirley Downs (Larry) and Teri Johnson (Gary) all of Bardstown; four sons, Tommy Hutchins of Elizabethtown, Donnie Hutchins of New Haven, Pat Hutchins (Phyllis) of St. Francis and Carl Hutchins (Pam) of Boston; 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope. Revs. Matt Hardesty and Ken Fortener will concelebrate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home. 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 4 PM.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Joe Pat Hutchins, Joseph Richard Tinnell, James Howard Tinnell, Craig Downs, David Paul Boone, Michael Brent Boone, Thomas Jack Johnson, Dylan Wayne Hutchins and David Shane Hutchins . Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Catherine Lynn Kirsch, Susan Renee O'Bryan, Laura Jean Downs, Falon Hutchins and Stacy Hutchins.
