Charles Marvin Detherage, age 75 of Loretto, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 10, 1946, in Loretto. He formerly worked as a mechanic and operated Detherage Auto Body. He was a former employee of Pickerill Motor Company in Lebanon and Owens Illinois in Bardstown. He liked Classic Cars and Car Shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Harve and Esma Virginia Downs Detherage; two sisters, Bernice Geneva Cambron and Wanda Thomas; one brother, George Detherage.
Survivors include two children, Robbie Detherage (Leann) of Loretto and Manette Young (Gary) of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Maison Young, Grant Young (Katelyn Stumph) and Channing Young; four sisters, Carol Jean Smith (Donald) of Raywick, Betty Gardner (Marvin) of Saint Mary, Virginia Spalding (Henry) and Grace Gannon all of Louisville; his former wife, Theresa Detherage of Loretto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon. Rev. David W. Naylor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Saint Charles Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 pm Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant. The prayer service and funeral mass will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.

Pallbearers are Bobby Joe Thompson, Robert Medley, Joe Riggs, Eddie Smith, Eric Scott and Todd Gardner; Honorary Pallbearers are Maison Young, Grant Young, Channing Young, Gary Young, Rita Medley, Erica Edlin, Abby Medley, Joe Marion Blandford, and Jamie Dugan.
