Mary Alice Ritchie Peterson, 71, of New Haven, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her residence.
Born February 29, 1940 in Nelson County, she recently retired after 28 years with Walmart in Bardstown and was a member of Saint Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven. She formerly attended Bethlehem Academy and was a member of the Nelson County Homemakers Association and American Legion Post 121 Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Malachi Ritchie, Jr. and Mary Lorene Holbert Ritchie, her son Curtis Anthony Lee Holt, two brothers, Curtis Ritchie III and Deanie Ritchie and one grandson, Isaac Lee Holt.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Robert ?Bob? Peterson, two sons, Danny Holt of Bardstown and James Holt (Tammy) of Shepherdsville, two daughters, Marie Holt of Louisville and Sarah Holbert (Kenny) of New Haven, four step-sons, Bob Peterson (Anna) of Louisville, Kevin Peterson (Mindy) of Loretto, Chris Peterson of Bardstown and Eddie Peterson (Debbie) of Louisville, one step-daughter, Lori Johnson of Florida, 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Jeanie Ritchie Blaski (Gary) of Richland, Washington and one brother, Bruce Ritchie of Louisville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Saint Catherine Church, New Haven, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Gerald Peterson and Rev. Troy Overton will be the celebrants.
Visiting 1-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with prayer services at 7 PM.
