Mary Dorothy Bard, age 85, of Louisville, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1926 in Loretto, KY. She was a former employee of Louisville Laundry Company and Wood Mosaic Lumber Company and she was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Joseph "Joe" Bard, her parents, Thomas Leo and Mary Agnes Nalley Powell, three sons, David Ray, James Terry and Thomas Bard, two sisters, Pauline Mattingly and infant Cecilia Powell.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Bard and Jerry Bard , two daughters-in-law, Lanetta and Bernie Bard, one sister, Lucille Shibley, four grandchildren, Jamie Bard (Tiffany), Roy Bard, Katie Bard and Sarah Bard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Monday, April 30, 2012 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Saint Francis, KY with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.
Visiting 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, KY.
