Mary Elizabeth Hagan Blanton, age 79 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

She was born November 14, 1939 in Loretto. She was a retired telephone operator with A T & T in Louisville with more than 30 years of service. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Ray and Jeffrey Scott Blanton; her parents, Joseph Charles Hagan, Jr. and Mary Catherine "Katie" Lee; two sisters, Anna Marie Donahue and Charlena Tyler.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Charles Blanton (Robin) of Madison, Florida; four grandchildren, Ariel, Abigail, Amelia and Charlie Blanton; two sisters, Catherine Miller of Louisville and Dean Hagan-Roche of Glendale, California; two brothers, Joseph R. Hagan and Charles B. Hagan (Linda) all of Loretto.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 AM until 11:30 AM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
