Mary Lucy Ballard, age 83 of Holy Cross, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15, 1935 to the late Joe and Rosie Lyvers Reid. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Charles Bartley; two sisters, Mary Ida Nalley and Regina Cecil; one brother, Adrian Reid.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Bernard Ballard; five sons, Bobby "Booger" Ballard of Holy Cross, Wayne Ballard (Tammy) of Deatsville, Greg and David Ballard both of Bardstown and Joe "Junior" Ballard (Phillis)of Bloomfield; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Cahoe of Bardstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto. Rev. Bryan T. Lamberson will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-9 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Gary Ballard, William Keith Nalley, Tommy Cecil, Roger Dale Cahoe, David Larry Cahoe and Mikie Cecil.
