Mary Alice Mattingly, age 86 of Raywick, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her residence.
She was born July 8, 1930 in Raywick. She formerly worked at Walmart and the old Jane and Linda Sportswear in Lebanon. She was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Church and the St. Francis Xavier SEW-cialize Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Grover "Duck" Mattingly; her parents, Felix and Daisy Catherine Lee Mattingly; one daughter, Debbie Faye Gardner; one granddaughter, Cassie Rafferty; one sister, Lillie Mae McIntire; one brother, Robert Lee Mattingly; two brothers-in-law, Jim Cox and Roy McIntire.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Whitehead (James) of Lebanon and Marsha Raikes of Bardstown; three sons, Ricky Mattingly (Joan) of Versailles, Kenny Mattingly of Saint Mary's and Gary Mattingly (Dana) of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Ann Eldridge (Paul) and Lucy Cox all of Lawrenceburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, April 10, 2017 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. David W. Naylor will preside.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 PM by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Bobby Mattingly, Kyle Mattingly, Justin Raikes, Kevin Gardner, Doug Gardner and Ron Gardner; Honorary Pallbearers are granddaughters, Lisa Mattingly, Shelley Gordon, Ashley Barnett, Carrie Dillon, Kristi Raikes, Rachelle Mattingly Hurley and Megan Mattingly.
