Obituary

Mary Ann Peake, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon, KY.

Mary Ann was born on October 8, 1926 in Holy Cross and graduated from Holy Cross High School. She continued to live in Marion County her whole life. She worked at Heaven Hill Distillery for almost 40 years. She also worked at Wal-Mart in Lebanon as a greeter. She made many friends and loved working at both places.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Peake, parents, Robert & Emma Ballard, infant daughter, Brenda Marie Peake, son, Gary Eugene Peake, brothers, Tony, Jerome, Em, Jude, Pete Ballard and sisters, Sis Mattingly and Rose Wilson.

Survivors include two sons, David (Connie) Peake of The Villages, FL and Chris (Cindy) Peake of Allen, TX, seven grandsons, Troy and Trent Peake of Louisville, Dylan, Jacob and Shane Peake all of Allen, TX, Joseph Peake, John Phillip (Caelene) Peake, and two great-grandsons, Judah and Levi, one great-granddaughter, Victoria, all of North Richland Hills, TX, one brother, Firmin Ballard and her neighbor, dear friend and exceptional and loving caregiver, Susan Leedom.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church, St. Francis, followed by interment at Lebanon National Cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.

Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with prayer services at 5 PM .

Memorial Donations may be made to Ursuline Sisters, Mount Saint Joseph, Maple Mount, KY 42356.
