Michael Leon "Mike" Cecil, age 100, of Louisville, peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 17, 1925, in Raywick, Mike enjoyed a remarkable century of life. He retired from a long career with Ford Motor Company and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. A faithful member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, Mike's legacy reflects a life of dedication to family, faith, and service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hamilton Cecil who died January 24, 2023; his parents, Edward Dant and Mary Regina Hughes Cecil; two sisters, Kathleen Blandford and Gladys Brown; five brothers, Virgil, Ambrose, Clyde, Oldron, and George Cecil.

Survivors include three children, Jerry Cecil (Melinda), Roger Cecil (Judy) and Jan Chipman (Mike); three grandchildren, Lori, Roger and Debra; two great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Mills; two brothers, Harold, and Bert (Mary) Cecil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, November 21, 2025 at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, with interment in Saint Augustine Cemetery in Lebanon.

The visitation is 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville.  Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
