Michael Troy Hill

Michael Troy Hill, 54, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home. Born on March 5, 1972, in Marion County, Troy earned his Journeyman Plumber certification from Jefferson Community and Technical College and was a proud member of Union Local 502. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, playing guitar, and spending time by the lake—but above all, his greatest joy in life was his son.

Survivors include his son, Jacob Wayne Hill of Calvary; his parents, Judy and Jerry Stephens of Taylorsville and Roger and Laverne Terrell Hill of Saint Joe; four step-children, Hunter Livers, Dallas Cornish (Hannah), Conner Cornish, and Jackson Cornish, all of Marion County; one step-brother, Dean Smith (Jan) of Bardstown; his former wife, Becca Caldwell of Calvary; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services for Michael Troy Hill will be held at 7 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Rev. Neal Gordon will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.

The visitation is 3-7 pm Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
