Obituary
Joseph Michael "Mike" Gardner, age 51, of Loretto, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at his residence.
He was born December 24, 1960 in Marion County. He was a former employee of Meilink Safe Company of New Albany, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elsie Miles Gardner, three brothers, Edward Gardner and infants David and Ronald Gardner, two sisters, Betty Luckett and infant Dorothy Louise Gardner.
Survivors include five sisters, Ann Nichols (Marion), Theresa Detherage, Nancy Ballard (Kenny) all of Loretto, Carolyn May (Andy) and Suzanne Holt (Terry) all of Jacksonville, FL, six brothers, Billy Gardner of Lebanon, Marvin Gardner (Betty) of Saint Mary's, Bob, Gerald, Randy and Ray Gardner (Judy) all of Loretto, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Saint Francis, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.
Visiting 3-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 5 PM.
Memorial Donations may go to Hospice of Central Kentucky, 105 Diecks Drive, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
