Nancy Thompson Leigh, age 61 of Raywick, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home, with her family by her side.  She was born November 14, 1963 in Marion County.  She formerly lived in Nashville, Tennessee where she worked as a dietary director at Vanderbilt and Saint Thomas Hospitals.  She later worked at Cedars of Lebanon and the Loretto Motherhouse.  Nancy was a baptized believer in Jesus Christ.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed riding the back roads through Shit Creek, spending time at The Slab, having a cold beer and sharing good times.  She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Michael and Sophie Mae Battcher Thompson; two brothers, Chuck and Bill Thompson.

Survivors include her fiancé, Eddie Clark; two sons, Daniel Leigh (Jessica Newton) of Loretto and Jim Leigh (Jenny) of Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Mason, Caleb, Tyler, Hudson, and Ella; six sisters, Connie Mattingly (Archie) and Julie Robey (Tom) all of Loretto, Sharon Donahue and Barbara Mudd (Joe) all of Holy Cross, Wanda Davis of New Hope, and Doris Lamkin of Raywick; five brothers, Tommy Thompson (Mary), Jim Thompson (Madeline), and Mark Thompson, all of Saint Francis, John Thompson and Dan Thompson (Glenna), all of Raywick; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.  A celebration of the life of Nancy Thompson Leigh will take place 1 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Loretto City Hall.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for her medical expenses.
