Obituary
Nannie Benita Edelen, age 81, of Manton, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary, Nerinx.
Born September 14, 1930 in Manton, Miss Edelen was a former Nurse's Aide at the Loretto Motherhouse and lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Richard Edelen, Sr. and Mary Belle Smith Edelen, a brother and sister-in-law, John Richard Edelen, Jr. and Jean Carol Edelen and a brother-in-law, Jay Medley.
Survivors include her sister, Anna Catherine Medley of Louisville, three nieces, eight nephews and a number of great nieces and great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, October 28, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Manton, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Ben Brown will be the celebrant. Visiting 3-8 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 5:30 PM Thursday.
