Obituary
Paula Hamelin, age 61 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at U of L Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1952 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. She attended Worcester State University where she earned a masters degree in Speech Pathology. She formerly worked at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown and formerly owned and raced Standard bred pacer and trotter horses. She was a member of the Kentucky and American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Turpack and Irene Ference Turpack.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Leo A. Hamelin, Jr., two daughters, Nicole Griffith (Philip) of Elizabethtown and Lauren Hamelin of Lebanon, one son, Jesse Lee Hamelin, at home, four grandchildren, Iris and Afina Griffith of Elizabethtown, Madison Hamelin and Bentlee Spears of Lebanon.
No public services are planned. Cremation was chosen. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Marion County Humane Society, 1105 Highway 208, Lebanon, KY 40033. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
