Perry Junior Jackson, age 76 of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.  He was born December 7, 1946, in Marion County to the late Benny Perry Jackson and Beatrice Evelyn Mason Jackson.  He worked as a welder with General Electric in Louisville and later with Community Action in Lebanon.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Dominican Republic.  He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.  He enjoyed watching old western movies. He was a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Todd Buster and Benny Jackson.

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Jackson (Anthony) and Melissa Jackson (Jerry) all of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Rogers of Bradfordsville.

Funeral Services for Perry Junior Jackson will be held at 1 pm Monday, December 11, 2023, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Elder Terry Furmon will officiate.  Interment will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

The visitation is 11 am – 1 pm Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Brandon Rhinehart, Kyle Milburn, Jonathon Rhinehart, Josh Hourigan, James Buster, Michael Shively, and Anthony Cox; Honorary Pallbearers are Perry Bell, David Gilbert, Robert Chance, and Cody Kaiser.
