Obituary

Phyllis Fogle Cambron, age 71 of Holy Cross, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at Spring View Hospital.  She was born November 21, 1951, in Marion County.  She was a retired bookkeeper with Blandford and McCubbins CPA and Salsman Brothers Construction prior to that.  She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  She loved quilting and sewing and being with her family.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph George "Joe" and Rose Mary Thompson Fogle; two siblings, Jimmy Fogle and Thelma Thompson.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Stanley Cambron; three children, Matthew Cambron (Valerie) and Amanda Hamilton, all of Holy Cross and Sarah Thomas (Cliff) of Loretto; seven grandchildren, Nathan Cambron, Travis Cambron, Brennan Hamilton, Carter Hamilton, Ian Thomas, McKenna Thomas and Ansley Thomas; four siblings, Suzanne Fulk of Louisville, Cathy Gardner (Greg) of Holy Cross, Terry Fogle (Julita) of Dant Station and Jackie Fogle (Danna) of Holy Cross.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 3-8 pm Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.

Pallbearers are her beloved grandchildren.
