Raymond Gilbert Ross, Jr., age 86 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born July 21, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Raymond Gilbert Ross, Sr. and Minnie Price Ross.  He was a former building contractor in South Florida.  He was an Air Force Veteran with more than 10 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sandra Taylor Ross; five children, Raymond Ross, III of Springfield, Pamela Ross of Berry, Michael Ross of Durham, North Carolina, Robert Patrick Ross of Jersey City, New Jersey and Cindy Ellis of Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren, Amber Torres, Ashley Johnson, Arabella Ross and Nathaniel Ross; several great grandchildren.

Non-ceremonial cremation was chosen.  Mattingly Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
