Obituary
Robert Bernard "R.B." Higdon, age 92, of Alexandria, KY, entered into rest on December 6, 2012 at his residence.
Born May 29, 1920 in Lebanon, KY, R.B. was a retired truck driver for Roadway Express and a World War II veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Henry and Mary Victoria McCain Higdon; his sons Al and Greg; and his brothers William, Paul and Cecil Higdon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Melvena Osborne Higdon; beloved father of Frank (Teresa) Higdon, Monica (Dan) Dugan, Brenda (Dennis) Keene, Danny (Janice Jones) Higdon; devoted grandpa to Ron Dunlevy, Brad Dunlevy, Kelly Keene Jones, Kylie Keene, Brett Dugan, Lauren Dugan and 5 great grandchildren; as well as many friends and loved ones. R.B. will be greatly missed by many, but his spirit will live on in all of our hearts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 PM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Lebanon, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be 9:00am to 12:30pm Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Bosley Funeral Home , 246 South Proctor Knott, Lebanon.
Active pallbearers are Jimmy, Bruce, and Mike Higdon, Brett Dugan, Ron and Brad Dunlevy.
Arrangements entrusted to Mattingly Funeral Home.
