Richard Madden Buckler

Richard Madden Buckler, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Spring View Hospital. Born April 8, 1947, in Louisville, he was a former employee of Ball Brothers Oil Company. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Saint Augustine High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Jeanne Buckler; one sister, Margaret Blanford.

Survivors include one son, Richard Madden Buckler, Jr. (Jenna) of Lebanon; one grandson, Josiah; four siblings, John Buckler of Lebanon, Marian Caldwell (Billy) and Mary Ellen Wright (Ricky) of Calvary and Tony Buckler (Janie) of Louisville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, July 20, 2026, at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 235 S. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon. Rev. Hillary Chumo, F.M.H. will officiate.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will assist. Interment will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard.

The visitation is 10 am – 11 am Monday at the church.

Pallbearers are Joey George, Matthew Thomas, Marrian Yocum, Coleman Dever, Brandon Smalley, Kyle Wright, Eddie Pulliam, and C. W. Murphy.
