Obituary
Joseph Roger Ballard, age 56 of Murrieta, California, formerly of Holy Cross, KY, passed away April 29, 2013 in California.
Roger was a 1974 graduate of Marion County High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Emerson Ballard, one brother, James Glenn Ballard, one sister, Emma Jane Ballard and his step-father, J.B. Boone.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Ballard-Boone of Bardstown, his companion, Linda Wolfinger, her children, Andrew and Nicole and her grandchildren all of Murrieta, CA, two brothers, Bruce Ballard of White City and Ralph Ballard (Lola) of Bardstown, two sisters, Grace Cambron (Gary) and Nora Ballard all of Bardstown, three step-sisters, Anita Case, Mary Culver and Becky Smith, two step-brothers, Bernie Boone and Greg Boone, eight nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, step-nieces and step-nephews.
Cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be 3 PM Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3560 N. Saint Francis Road, Loretto, where military rite will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 10:30 AM – 2:30 AM Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. by Fr. Jeff Hopper.
