Obituary
Rose Marie Mattingly, age 67, of Life Care Center of Bardstown, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
She was born January 26, 1045 in New Hope and was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Linton and Elizabeth Lillian Newton Mattingly and two brothers, Anthony Gerard Mattingly and Francis Gerard "Flood" Mattingly.
Survivors include nine sisters, Ann Mattingly, Lebanon, Sarah Hutchins (Howard) and Janet Cissell (Joe) all of Loretto, Marlene and Patty Mattingly both of New Hope, Norma O'Daniel (Jerry), Mary Ann Riggs (Jackie) all of Bardstown, Margaret Reece (Mike) of Louisville, Theresa Skaggs (Mike) of Greenville, eight brothers, Joe Mattingly, Jude Mattingly, Charlie Mattingly (Sheann) and Bill Mattingly (Sabria) all of Bardstown, Bernie Mattingly (Janie) of Loretto, Larry Mattingly (Doris) of Bloomfield, Steve Mattingly (P.J.) and Arthur Mattingly (Carlene) all of New Hope.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Hope followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant.
Visiting 3-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with prayers at 7 PM with Rev. Deacon Edward Hutchins.
Her brothers will be pallbearers.
