Ruby Angela O'Daniel Johnson, age 94 of Lexington, formerly of Marion County, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Baptist Health Lexington.  She was born March 6, 1928 in Marion County.  She was a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, John R. "Jack" Johnson (died May 2, 1989); her parents, James Thomas and Mary Ursula Russell O'Daniel; four sisters, Rosie Krebs, Anna Belle Mattingly, Lucy Mudd and Kathleen Begley; four brothers, Joe, Leon, James and Frank O'Daniel.

Survivors include nine children, Joanna Johnson of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Larry Johnson (Phyllis) of Versailles, Peggy Baker of Berea, Danny Johnson (Dolorita) of Loveland, Ohio, Rose Mayer of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ronnie Johnson of Nicholasville, Jerry Johnson (Patty) of Carrollton, Donna Lewis (Larry) of Lexington and Julie Taylor of Shepherdsville; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon.  Rev. David W. Naylor will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The funeral will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation is 9-12 noon Tuesday at the church.
