Obituary
Ruby Faulkner O'Bryan, age 86 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at her home.
She was born August 25, 1928 in Springfield, KY. She taught School at New Hope, Culvertown, Boston, Bloomfield, Bardstown and Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur and Mary Nellie Green Faulkner; one brother, Theodore Faulkner; two grandchildren, Zeb O'Bryan and Michael Peck.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles Aloysius O'Bryan, two daughters, Marietta O'Bryan of Louisville and Lucy Greenwell of Bardstown; four sons, Charles A. O'Bryan, Jr. (Jo Kaye) of Orlando, Florida, Edward William O'Bryan of Bardstown, Joseph B. O'Bryan of Leitchfield and Paul B. O'Bryan of Louisville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM Monday, December 8, 2014, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ken Fortener will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM with Deacon Jim Cecil.
Memorial Donations may go to Masses or St. Vincent de Paul Church.
