Ruth Frances Browning, age 91 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born February 20, 1934 in Raywick, KY.  She was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 66 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert "Bob" Browning; two children, Jeffery Lee "Jeff" and Bonita Ruth Browning; her parents, James Micajah and Mary Effie Mattingly Malone; two sisters, Dorothy Ann Badgett and Mary Pauline Buckman; five brothers, Clement, Eddie, Robert L., Harry, and Harold Malone.

Survivors include six children, Ronnie Browning (Becky), Donna Thomas (Steve), David Browning (Patti), Geri Lynn Lancaster (Steve), Missy Martin (Dude), and Dale Browning (Jennifer); 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Frances Browning, will be held at 10 am Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road, Louisville.  Father George Munjanattu will officiate.  Interment will follow in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick.

The visitation is 2-8 pm Tuesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville.  Mattingly Funeral Home and Ratterman Funeral Home are entrusted with the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Tieg Gonzalez, Jace Gonzalez, Trent Martin, Trey Martin, Adam Browning, James Browning, Hunter Buckles, and Aiden Zemba.

The family offers special thanks to her devoted and caring neighbor, Melba.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Altar Sodality c/o Holy Family Catholic Church.
