Ruth Anne Burdette Keyser, age 92, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home in Lebanon, Kentucky.
A native of Marion County, Kentucky, Ruth Anne was born April 24, 1930, on Miller Pike to Joseph Knott Burdette and Josephine Peterson Burdette. In February of 1963, she married Richard Joseph Keyser. A talented seamstress, homemaker, and musician, she served as choir director at Maple Spring United Methodist Church in Benton, Kentucky for many years and, most recently, the organist at Stewart's Creek Baptist Church in Lebanon. She also volunteered her time as president of the Marshall County chapter of Habitat for Humanity, as well as treasurer of the Salvation Army in Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as siblings Doris Hundley, Edmund Burdette, and Joe Burdette.
She is survived by three daughters: Jorie Emmert of Centerville, Ohio, Colette Keyser of Ashland City, Tennessee, and Kristina Keyser of Covington, Kentucky; three sons-in-law: John Martin Emmert, Jerome Terrell, and Tim Centers, respectively; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mabel Bullard of North Carolina.
Her memorial service will take place at Stewart's Creek Baptist Church, 245 Stewart's Creek Road, Lebanon, Kentucky, at some date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, plants, etc., please consider contributions to the Salvation Army.
