Ryan Alexander Morley, age 39 of New Hope, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family and friends, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born October 17, 1978 in Nelson County. He was a former Technical Support Technician with Charter Communications in Louisville, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the Army National Guard of Bardstown, 2nd Battalion, 138th Artillery from 1997 to 2004.
Survivors include his parents, Edwin Jay and Juanice Willett Morley of New Hope, two sisters, January Maloney (Bobby) of Bardstown and Coley Morley of New Hope; one brother, William Morley (Cristina) of Sonora; six nephews, Mohammad, Tyler, Zach, Ryan, Dakota & Austin; two nieces, Eva and Sara; one great nephew, Derek; one great niece Marilyn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope. Rev. Kenneth Fortener will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Tuesday & 8 AM - 10:30 AM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM Tuesday by Deacon Jim Cecil.
Pallbearers are Andy Harrell, William Morley, John Morley, Mike Castillo, Charlie Castillo and Bobby Maloney. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Willett, Phillip Willett and Hunter Willett.
