Obituary

Samuel Joseph Clenin, age 49 of Campbellsville, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Norton Women's & Children's Hospital in Louisville.  He was born July 18, 1972, in Columbia, Missouri.  He was a truck driver and a Christian by faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Dorothy Renfrow Clenin; one sister, Helen Marie Clenin; three brothers, John, Robert and William Clenin.

Survivors include a special friend, Melanie Gordon of Raywick; three children, Courtney Stevens of Ohio, Sam J. Clenin, Jr. (Megan) and Kyle Clenin (Lindsey) all of Windsor, Missouri; seven grandchildren, one sister, Anna Jane Clapp; one brother, Randy Clenin; several nieces and nephews; brothers from other mothers, Stevie Orberson, Joey Rigdon, Kevin Orberson, Junior Gootee, Vance Wilt and Monte Caudill.

Visitation is 3-7 pm Monday, September 27, 2021, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a celebration of life service at 7 PM.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. The service will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home facebook page for those who cannot attend. Cremation will follow the service.
