Sandra Marie Nalley, age 72 of New Hope, passed away Friday, May 9, 2013 at her residence.
She was born September 13, 1940 in Louisville, KY. She was a retired employee of Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Church and a former member of the New Hope Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered for the New Hope Food Bank, Relay for Life and Hospice of Nelson County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David L. and Mary Elsie Clark Masden, one daughter, Phyllis Williamson and two sons, Tommy and Paul Riggs.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Jerry Nalley, eight sons, Jimmy Riggs (Jean) of Fairfield, Keith Riggs (Connie) of Culvertown, Chris Nalley (Lisa) and Greg Nalley (Laura) all of Bardstown, Ricky Nalley and Pat Riggs both of New Hope, Dean Riggs (Karen) of Chaplin and Dan Nalley (Melissa) of Hodgenville, three daughters, Donna Greenwell of Bardstown, Rose Lamkin (Mike) and Jackie Clayton (Bill) all of New Hope, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister, Lois Ann Masden (Rick) of Brooks, four brothers, John Masden (Debbie) of Shepherdsville, David Masden (Sue), Tommy Masden (Erica) and Marty Masden (Cheryl) all of Louisville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, May 13, 2013 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope. Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visatation will be 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 6 PM by Rev. Deacon Edward Hutchins.
